QUESTION 1
Name a healthy way to calm down.
Deep breaths, talking to someone you trust, taking a walk, or writing it down.
QUESTION 2
Why is “bottling it up” unhelpful?
Because the stress builds instead of easing — healthy strategies work better.
QUESTION 3
What is a calming “toolkit”?
A set of healthy strategies you can use when you feel stressed.

Reflect: build your toolkit.

Have students choose two healthy calming strategies to try the next time they feel stressed. A printable calming sheet is in the SEL library. If a student is struggling with stress, encourage them to talk with a trusted adult or school counselor.
